A Jeeves Dumbwaiter is a motorized dumbwaiter that requires minimal installation and maintenance. A Jeeves Dumbwaiter Pro comes in two different sizes, at 125lbs and 250 lbs respectively. However, it can be customized to hold 500lbs. Every Jeeves Dumbwaiter comes with an LCD display to indicate its current operation and also to assist with troubleshooting. The dumbwaiter comes pre-wired for ease in installation and is also the only full dumb waiter system in the US that has complete UL certification. Any Pro size at 250lbs or above is considered to be a commercial grade dumb waiter. Typically, these are installed by a licensed elevator contractor, but we can provide a do-it-yourself kit upon request.
The dumbwaiter Pro comes as a steel cab, powder coated, with a roll-up gate. 500lb Pro dumb waiters use a scissor gate. The system that the dumbwaiter Pro uses is cable driven, not a rail like a standard Jeeves Dumb waiter. The speed of the dumbwaiter system is 30fpm, and the device operates on 115V; 500lb dumbwaiters need to 230V to operate. The Jeeves Pro can travel up to 35 feet with four stops. Because accidents can happen even with a superior product, a Jeeves Dumb waiter is equipped with multiple safety devices. These include a slack cable, final limit, trolley break, and interlock door.
